Richard C. "Buck" Buckingham, age 55 of Pennsville passed away Monday October 25, 2010 at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. He was born in Salem and is the son of Richard and Doris Hart Buckingham with whom he lived. He was a graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School class of 1973. He was a lifetime sports fanatic. He played and was coached by his father in Pennsville Little League and always was an all star at what he did. As he got older he fell in love with the sport of bowling. He won several tournaments and traveled with a traveling league from Penn Bowl. That's what he will mostly be remembered for when people hear the name "Buck", and always knew his as the Bowler!
He was predeceased by both grandparents and a very special aunt Carolyn. As a child he attended the Deepwater United Methodist church where he was baptized. Besides his parents he is survived by a son, Richard B. Buckingham of Pennsville, several cousins and aunts and uncles. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM on Friday Oct. 29 at the Deepwater United Methodist Church where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will be private.
