Obituary of Kenneth H. Staring, Jr.

Kenneth H. Staring Jr., age 74, of Pennsville, NJ passed away on August 9th, 2021. He was born in Syracuse, NY in 1947 and graduated from Council Rock High School in Newtown, PA. He was an Eagle Scout that served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1973 as a Submariner on the USS Robert E. Lee, and served in the Vietnam War. He earned an Associate's Degree in Science and went on to work at PSEG where he performed various jobs, but was most significantly known for his work as a Nuclear Power Instructor and is renowned for his knowledge on breakers and cooling towers. His passions were his family, sailing, fishing, woodworking, teaching, and helping others, as well as being an active member of Gideons International and Trinity United Methodist Church. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda G. Staring (nee Gillespie), of 54 years, son Ronald (Sherri), grandchildren, Michael Jr, Drew, and Marissa Staring, and great grandchildren Everly, Stevie, Cameron, and John Staring, and his little woof, Gracie. He is predeceased by his mother, Valetta Truscello, brother, Bruce Staring, and son Michael Staring. Per Ken's wishes, there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Ken's memory to the following: Gideons International and Trinity United Methodist Church.
