Obituary of Jacob Matthew Zanes

Jacob, age 39, departed this life to be with his Lord on July 5th. He was born and raised in Salem County, NJ. He had many interests, including metal detecting and men's softball but Jacob's passion was music. He was a gifted, self-taught musician playing the guitar, piano and drums. He wrote worship songs which he performed at various churches in his position as head worship leader for Adult and Teen Challenge. He was diligent in his study of the Bible and an encouragement to family. He had a great sense of humor and magnetic personality which often made him the center of attention. Jacob thoroughly enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends. He leaves behind a daughter, Madison, whom he adored, parents, Jeffrey Sr. and Jacqueline (Pedrick), sister, Jennifer & husband Bill Robinson, sister, Jamie Zanes, brother, Jeffrey Jr. & wife Allyson, nephews, Brennan, Michael, William, and Andrew, a niece, Ellie and maternal grandmother, Mona Pedrick. A memorial service will be held August 3rd at 11:00 am friends should gather at 10:30 am at Woodruff United Methodist Church, currently being used by Victory Assembly of God, at 4 E. Finley Rd. Bridgeton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Madison's college savings and sent to 82 New Bridge Rd. Salem NJ, 08079.
