Obituary of Madeline Virginia Rollo

Please share a memory of Madeline to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Madeline Virginia Rollo, "Ginny," nee Pflieger passed away peacefully at home on May 20, surrounded by family, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer. Ginny was born and raised in Pennsville, NJ, and kept close ties to the community here. She was a graduate of Pennsville High School, class of 1966, and moved to New Castle, DE, later in life. She earned her Master's Degree in Accounting from Goldey-Beacom College in 1991 and spent her working career at Wilmington Trust Company, where she retired from her position as a Manger in Trust Control. Ginny will always be remembered and respected as a caretaker for friends, family, and strangers alike. She was a generous and caring person who gave more than she took and was a fierce advocate for her family and loved ones. Ginny was an avid traveler who, together with her beloved life partner Jim Carlisle, experienced more of the world first-hand than most of us see in our lifetimes. Her kindness and guidance will be missed by many. Ginny leaves behind her beloved partner in life, Jim Carlisle of New Castle, DE; and her son, Glen (Christi) Rollo and two grandchildren, Kyla Rollo and Aidan Rollo of Pennsville, NJ; stepson, Jimmy (Bridgette) Carlisle and grandchildren, Rhyan and Corey of Harrington, DE; stepdaughter Ronda Wood and grandson Chanse of Florida; brother Joseph Pflieger and his two daughters, her nieces LaraBeth (Jordan) Botto and JennaLynn (Chris) Haskell, all of Naples, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ginny was predeceased by her brother Edward J. "Buddy" Pflieger of Pennsville, NJ. At Ginny's request, services will be private. A celebration of life will be hosted later this summer by her son Glen and friends and family will be invited to join the family then. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ginny's name to BRCA research by visiting https://www.pennmedicine.org/cancer/giving. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
