Virgie A. Geary (DeVries) 67 of Pennsville, New Jersey, passed peacefully on February 23, 2021 surrounded by her loving fmaily. She was born to parents Robert and Virgie DeVries on July 26, 1953. Virgie graduated from Pennsgrove High School and later earned her nursing degree at Salem Cummunity College. Virgie spent most of her career at Friends Village at Woodstown, working in Pill Box and then later as a nurse. She loved and took pride in caring for her patients. While not working she spent most of her free time with her family, her beloved animals, and her loving companion Ed Caudell. Virgie is survived by her children : Scott Geary (Casey). Brenda Taylor (Paul), and John Geary (CJ), her grand children: Jonathan, Johnny, Courtney, Austin, Aiden, and Payton, her siblings: James DeVries (Ann) , Donna Daniels (Jerry), and Darlene DeVries. Virgie is predeceased by her loving husband John G. Geary who she missed dearly, gandson Christopher, and grandson baby boy Geary. Siblings: Robert DeVries, and Carol Serra.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday February 26th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, 1 N. Broadway, Pennsville, NJ where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, NJ.
