Christine E. Hollis (Engle Missimer), 88, of Salem, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2021.
Socially distant graveside services will be held at Lawnside Cemetery in Woodstown, NJ, on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.
Chris was born to William and Edna Engle on December 3, 1932, and spent her entire life in the Quinton, Pennsville, and Salem area. She was a familiar, friendly face working for three generations of owners at the Salem Oak Diner where she was affectionately known as "Chief." An avid gardener, she also adored her adopted cats.
Chris is survived by her children Kenny Missimer (Pam), Donna Ray, and Bob Missimer (Sandy); stepchildren Christie Brantley (Chris), Brett Hollis, and Adam Hollis (Robin); her five grandchildren; her six great-grandsons and one step-great-grandson who all cherished their loving Mom-Mom.
Chris was predeceased by husbands, Frank Hollis and Frank Missimer, and son-in-law, Bob Ray.
