Kevin R. Kates of Pennsville, NJ. Passed away on January 14, 2021. Kevin was born on July 29, 1959, to Phillip M. Kates and Phyllis M Kates.
Kevin attended Pennsville Memorial High School Class of 1977. In high school Kevin participated on both the football and wrestling team.
Following school Kevin enlisted in the U.S. Army and retired in 2004. Kevin was married to his wife Joyce Malara-Kates of 11 years. He is survived by daughters: Casie M Kates, Jacqueline (Kyle) Johnston, son, Nathanael J Kuhfuss, brother, Bruce H Kates (Angela) and was a Loving pop pop to Juliana and Kolin Johnston. Aunt, uncle and cousins also survive him.
Kevin loved the fall season, umpiring high school football, and Christmas with his family.
His sense of humor, jokes and story telling made those who were around him laugh.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Monday February 8th at Finn's Point National Cemetery, Pennsville, NJ.
