Eleanor "Ellie" K. Pennington, age 43 of Wilmington, DE died Monday August 8, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Salem and is the daughter of Raymond C. Jr. and Regina S. Mattson Pennington of Pennsville. Ellie was a longtime Pennsville resident living in Wilmington for the past 23 years. She is survived by sisters, Rachel Pennington and her husband Brian Vincent and Melissa Cross and her husband James of Middletown, DE, brother, James Pennington of Newark, DE and her beloved nephews Jakob, Aidan and Gavin all of Middletown, DE. Also survived by a grandmother, Mary Ann Pennington of Pennsville and many aunts, uncles and cousins and friends. Predeceased by her long time companion, R. Keith Hill. Ellie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nephews. She also loved to read and write poetry. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday August 12, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, where friends may call from 9:00 to 10:00 AM prior to the service.
