Obituary of Bobbie Lou Cross

Please share a memory of Bobbie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bobbie L. Cross, age 58 of Pennsville, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020. She was born to the late Roy Mark Watson and Neva Delle (Hunter) Watson on January 23, 1962. Bobbie attended Rains County High School in Emory, Texas where she participated in Girls Basketball and Band. After their wedding in Texas, they headed East, living in Pottstown, Pennsylvania for 14 years before settling in Pennsville. In her role as Supervisor of the Pennsville School System's "JustKids" program, Bobbie endeared herself to so many through the care of their children. For 20+ years, she watched and help raise many of the children that passed through the community school system and "Miss Bobbie" could be found at many home sporting events... just to check on "her kids." Bobbie loved sports, both participating and watching. She played in the coed Pennsville Rec Volleyball, often refereeing after her playing days. She was an avid Cowboys fan, but had a soft spot in that big heart of hers for her [new hometown] Philadelphia Eagles as well as the Phillies. She was very active and loved being outdoors in her shorts, well into Winter. Family and friends were Bobbie's passion and delight and she is most proud of the young man that they raised. She would spend summers going to the Jersey shore with girlfriends and never missed a good sunset at Penn Beach. When she couldn't make it to the shore, you would find her unmistakable red Mustang, and beach chair sitting along the Delaware river. She enjoyed her time here and made many lifelong friends. Bobbie was predeceased by her brothers William and Forrest as well as her dear "sissy" Charlotte Mitchell. She is survived by her husband, David B. Cross and her son Brandon (Jordan Clarke). She leaves behind numerous loving relatives, friends, pets and a Father-in-Law that will miss her dearly. To lessen chances of spreading the virus that took her from us, Bobbie requested a private viewing, but graveside services will be held immediately following at Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, NJ. A celebration of life, when we can all enjoy it safely, will be scheduled for a future date. The family wishes to thank all of those who prayed for, and made her comfortable, during her fight. In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the Greenbank Church of Christ, 511 Greenbank Road, Wilmington, DE 19808 or Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, Help Fight RA,8815 Conroy Windermere Rd, Suite 309, Orlando, Fl.,32835. in Memory of Bobbie L. Cross. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM on Monday January 4th at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown. Arrangements provided by Laughrey Funeral Home. Online condolences can be left on Bobbie L.
