Please share a memory of Margareta to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Margareta Claire Morris, age 64 of Pennsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. She was born to Patricia and Clayton Morris just before midnight on May 8, 1956, with her twin brother Clayton Jr. following just after midnight on May 9, 1956. They were shortly followed by her sister Susan, in 1957 and her brother Doug in 1958. Margie loved skiing and she would show an early aptitude for mathematics that would serve her well in life. In high school she met the man she would later marry, James Patrick Henry of Carney's Point, when attending a dance at Saint James High School. After graduating Pennsville Memorial High School they married January 1979 and his service in the US Navy took them to Boston, Massachusetts where their son, James Patrick Henry III, was born later that year. When her husband's service was complete they moved back to Pennsville to be closer to family who were very important to her. During this time she became an avid home cook and crafter, skillfully creating Halloween costumes on her sewing machine for her son, nieces, and nephews. She was well loved for her generosity and her excellent contributions to holiday meals. After divorcing in 1987 she began pursuing work as an accountant and tax expert which would be her lifelong occupation. After her son left home for college Margie would pursue her career in earnest with her ambition taking her as far away as Greenwich, Connecticut. She would eventually settle in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania to remain near her family. During her time in Connecticut, she discovered an aptitude and passion for poker which would lead to her playing and placing in several major tournaments around the country, including the 2014 World Series of Poker No-Limit Hold'em event where she placed fourth. Margie is predeceased by her father and her sister, Susan. She is survived by her mother, brothers Clayton Jr. and Doug as well as her son, James. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 29, at Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
