Margaret Alice Ecret , 87 ,Lifelong resident of Pennsville, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2020 with family by her side. Margaret was born on May 28, 1933 to Hugh and Margaret McCurdy. After graduating from Salem High School, she was married to Penrose Ecret Jr. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, friends, traveling, and family. She spent many days as a volunteer for the American Red Cross blood drives. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Penrose Jr., her parents Hugh and Margaret McCurdy, and her son Penrose III. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Francis Noeller, Mary House, and Victor and Edward McCurdy. She is survived by daughters Deborah Ecret of Salem, Carol Staub, (James) of Bear Delaware, and Wanda Kay Thompson of Pennsville, and a brother, Benjamin McCurdy. She is additionally survived by five grandchildren , Cherish Poole, Kristi Datz, Ryan Brabson Amity Williams, and Lacey Williams, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Due to covid-19, viewing visitation will be limited to immediate family at Laughery Funeral Home, Pennsville. Extended family and friends are welcome to the Graveside service which will be held at 11:00 AM on December 28th 2020 at Englington Cemetery, 320 Kings Highway, Clarksboro New Jersey 08020.
