Obituary of Kathy M. Tate

Kathy Tate: Born April 23, 1953 died December 11, 2020 Kathy was born in Corpus Christi, TX to Preston and Mary Tate. She was a 1971 graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School. She then continued her education and graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana in 1975. Kathy then enlisted in the Army. She became an AMP and then a drill instructor. When her enlistment was up, Kathy went to work for the New Jersey Department of Corrections. Kathy worked as a transportation coordinator, arms instructor and dog handler. In 2001 Kathy enlisted in the Army Reserves. She became a Master Sergeant and was sent to Iraq. She received the Bronze Star for Heroism. When she returned to New Jersey she resumed her career with The Department of Corrections and retired in 2007 as a Lieutenant. Kathy spent her summers at her home in Cape May and her winters In Florida.
