James W. Hyson of Elsinboro, NJ and formerly of Pennsville died Wednesday December 16, 2020 at the Cooper University Hospital of Camden County. He was born in Salem and was the son of the late Mureall W. Hyson and Mary (Chuchola) Hyson. James was a longtime Salem County resident. He enjoyed fishing, being on the water, gardening, antique and classic cars, and spending time with his beloved dogs ("The Girls") Tinker and Tin Tin. Survived by his daughters, Tracy Wilson (Michael), Lisa Stuart (Jim), Linda Cherry, Debi Westcott (Ken Damm), Beth Ann Irvine (Rich), grandchildren, Kevin Connell (Melody), Tyler Stuart, Jenna Hudock (William), Corey Gant (Jackie), Logan Westcott (Adam Gamber), Aubrey Irvine, Kelsey Irvine, great grandson, Wyatt Lee Gant, stepchildren, Douglas Shaffer, Teresa Turpin (Mike), Wendy Shaffer, Ronald Shaffer (Connie), Bridgette Howard (John), sisters, Elaine Urion, April Hickerson, and Hollie Chapman. Predeceased by wives Barbara L. Hyson (2002) and Patricia L. Hyson (2017), daughter, Betty Lou Hyson, son-in-law, Stephen Cherry, stepson, Donald Shaffer, brother, David M. Hyson. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 22, at Lawnside Cemetary, Woodstown.
