Obituary of Michael T. Tancredi

Michael Thomas Tancredi, 80, of Pennsville, NJ, peacefully passed away in his sleep, on December 13th, after courageously battling different cancers and a failing heart. Mike was born in New York City to Anthony and Lillian Tancredi. He grew up with brother Peter in Brooklyn, NY and Penns Grove, NJ. As a teen and a rebel, he "earned" his way into Salesianum High School. Upon graduation, he enrolled into the United States Marine Corp where he was honorably discharged as an expert rifleman. Mike held many jobs during his life, including pipe fitter, plumber, car salesman, and contractor. Mike had musical talent too, playing in multiple rock and roll bands in the late 1960's and early 1970's. In his retirement years, he enjoyed being with family and complaining about the Eagles. Above all, everyone who knows Mike will miss his joyous spirit, his wit and sense of humor, his storytelling, and his ability to make people feel welcome. His passing leaves a large hole in the hearts of family and friends. In addition to sons Tony and Chris, Mike is survived by his brother Peter, daughter-in-law Terry, grandchildren Lauren, Haley, Natalie, and Ashley, and great grandchildren, Sabastian and Saylor. He was preceded in passing by his mother Lillian and father Anthony. Per Mike's request, services will be private.
