Obituary of Mary G. Crush

Mary Jane Galloway Crush passed away peacefully on November 26, 2020 at the Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Taneytown, MD. Mary was born in Salem, NJ on August 2, 1931 to James and Rosa Smith Galloway. After graduating from Salem High School in 1949, she married Harvey G. Crush, Sr. who predeceased her. Mary was a tireless homemaker and mother to her two sons, Harvey and Kevin. For those that knew Mary, her voice resonated through the crowd when she attended all of her son's athletic events from the Pee Wee level all the way through High school. After her children were grown, Mary worked at the Pennsville Tax and Water Department for over 30 years until she retired in 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Virginia, Lydia Martha and Joyce and brothers, Floyd, Henry and Paul. She leaved to cherish the memory of her Son, Harvey Crush (Cathy) of Gulfport, MS and her son, Kevin Crush (Cindy) of Galloway, NJ; her granddaughters Katie of Galloway, NJ and Bernadette of Parkton, MD; her great grandson's Cameron and Connor of Galloway and her great grandson Ben and great granddaughter Aubrey of Parkton. A special thanks to Shirley Melnick Smith her caregiver of many years at her home in Pennsville, who she thought of as a daughter, and the entire Smith and Melnick families the openly welcomed her into their family.
