Obituary of Bruce B. Hampton

Bruce B. Hampton age 61 of Pennsville, NJ passed into eternal life on Sept 11, 2023. Bruce was born in Salem and raised in Pennsville, NJ to the late Robert and Eleanor J (Kiesel) Hampton. He was a 1979 graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School. Bruce was a member of the Carpenters Local # 255 and was the financial secretary for the local for many years, retiring in 2016 with 31 years of service. He was a member of the Ducks Unlimited, Mannington Gun Club, Scooters Breakfast Club and a Social member of Pennsville VFW. He enjoyed fishing trips to Fairview Lake in PA and Quebec Canada with the Salem County Sportsman Club. He loved cigars, goofy hats and his favorite catch was the coldest Miller High Life at the bottom of the cooler. He always loved playing the juke box at Scooters and was a master at music trivia (at least in his mind). He was a master of joke telling and entertaining friends and family. Bruce was very generous in donations of gift baskets to local charities and took pride in that. He loved spending time with family, especially his nieces and nephew. And his love for dogs was immeasurable. He was also an avid Phillies fan. Bruce loved to travel with his wife and his favorite place was Key West Florida. He is survived by "the love of his life" his wife Carol (Napoleon) Hampton for over 22 years. His brother Gary R. Hampton (Sydna), nephew Trent Hampton (Jamie), niece Kendal Hampton (Jason). Father in law Frank Napoleon, sister in law Lisa Succarotte (Tony) , nieces Angelina and Gia Succarotte and Aunt Carol and Uncle John Caldwell. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his mother in law Beth Napoleon who absolutely adored him and his 5 Beagles. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Pennsville Animal Shelter or Salem County Humane Society. The family wishes to bring awareness to suicide prevention.
