Please share a memory of Kathy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kathy Lynn Cable Poeta, 67, passed away on September 9th, 2023 due to cardiac arrest. Kathy was born on April 24, 1956, to Astor Gordon Cable and Mary Ann Hyland Cable in Salem. In 1983, she met George Poeta, and they wed in 1986, going on to have 3 children, Jen, Andrew, and Lexi. Early in her career she worked for Dr. Joaquin Mallari, then as a dental assistant for Dr. Leinen for many years, and as a caretaker for babies, children, and the elderly. But more importantly, she was a generous and caring person that often put others ahead of herself. A beautiful and creative soul that brightened the world with her artistic flair. And an adventurous person who cherished stories of hope in the face of adversity. Kathy was predeceased by her father Astor Gordon, her mother Mary Ann, her siblings Michael, Kenny, and Barbara and survived by her husband George, her children Jen, Andrew, and Lexi, many nieces and nephews, two grandchildren and her dog Ella who she cherished. In honor of her memory, donations may be made to Pennsville EMS. There will be a viewing on Saturday, September 16th at 10 am, followed by a 11am service at Laughrey Funeral Home, 1 North Broadway, Pennsville with services at 11 am. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
