Mabel Hawn Laidler (nee Kortman) of Carney's Point, NJ, formerly of a life-long resident of Pennsville passed away Saturday April 11, 2020 one month shy of her 98th birthday. She was born in Millville, NJ on May 16th, 1922 to the late Carrie (nee Dixon) and Herman Kortman.
In addition to her parents she was also predeceased by her husband, Alfred H. Laidler, her sisters Marjorie McAllister and Dorothy Baillie and son-in-law Ben Ferguson Jr. and step-son Douglas Laidler.
Surviving are her daughters Beth Ann Hawn Zane of Mannington and Linda Hawn Ferguson of Elsinboro and son-in-law David E. Zane of Dividing Creek. Also survived by step-children Shirley Lemmerman, Cindy Laidler and Bobby Laidler of Va. Grandchildren David M. (Dee) Zane of Justin, Tx, John Ferguson of Elsinboro, Richard (Vanessa)Zane of Millville, NJ Great granddaughters Alison and Callie Zane of Arkansas, and many step-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews
Burial will be private. Any donations in her name could be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 75 S. Broadway in Pennsville, NJ where Mabel has as been a member for 56+ years.
