Joseph Ecret age 90, of Canton, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020. Joe was born November 26, 1929 to the late Edna (nee Allen) & Ellis Ecret and grew up on the family Christmas tree farm with his thirteen brothers and three sisters. He worked for many years at Gaynors Glass, and retired from the Lower Alloways Creek Township Public Works, he enjoyed training race horses, enjoyed buying and selling tractors. Joe is survived by his 4 sons, Joe Ecret Jr (Linda), Milferd Ecret (Pam), David Ecret (Donna), Dennis Ecret (Kimmie), 7 grandchildren David Ecret Jr (Jamie), Daniel Ecret(Patti), Holly Christopher(Mike) Melissa May(Doug), Amber Sowers(Dave), Matthew Ecret(Samantha), Meggin Wood(Alfred), 10 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, Samuel, Harry, and Robert, and He was predeceased by his wife Isabella Bowden Ecret, grandson Benjamin Ryan Ecret and granddaughter Betsy Marie Ecret . Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 7th in the Laughrey Funeral Home LLC, 1 North Broadway, Pennsville NJ, where friends are invited to visit from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow the funeral service by Pastor Don Polk in Canton Baptist Church Cemetery in Lower Alloways Creek.
