Obituary of Cynthia J. DePew

Loving Memory of Cynthia DePew A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Mrs. Cynthia Jean DePew , age 76 of Pennsville, passed away Tuesday Evening surrounded by her family on December 3rd, 2019 at 8:40pm. She was born on April 29, 1943 in Pennsville a daughter of Walter Shaffer and Ester B Shaffer. She was a Pennsville High School graduate and retired from Pennsville Township where she worked as a secretary. She is preceded by one brother Donald Shaffer and sister Barbara Clark. Cindy is survived by her husband of 43 years , William (Bill) DePew, her two dogs and Cat ( Caesar, Buddy and Jazbo). Cindy's three daughters Tami Ottinger (Mike Ottinger), Kimberly Burkentine (Bob Burkentine) and Kristi Epps Wolfer. Two step sons William DePew and Brandon DePew (Bethany DePew) Cindy's twelve grandchildren, David Henley Jr. (Heather), Nikole Johnson (Brandon Johnson), Alyssa DePew, Amber Burkentine, Brooke Ottinger, Casey DePew, Taylor Burkentine, Lexie DePew, Savanah Burkentine, Michael Ottinger Jr. and Dayne DePew. Her four great-grandchildren, Lucas Whitacre, Logan Henley, Jaxon Johnson and Aubree Doughty. Cindy was the glue that held us all together and the glue that will continue to do so. Her love and memory will be with us forever. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday December 11th at Laughrey Funeral Home in Pennsville, NJ where friends and family may call from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service.
