Obituary of Elizabeth Jane Cox

Elizabeth "Jane" Cox (nee Graf) 77 of Pennsville NJ, went home on Saturday, August 31, 2019. Jane, as she liked to be called, was born on December 21, 1941 in Lineboro, MD to the late Jacob Graf and Kathryn Rohrbaugh Graf. Jane met Phillip S. Cox while he was on leave from the military. It was love at first sight. They were married December 2, 1962 and were blessed with three loving sons, which she adored. She spent many years bartending at the local Moose Lodge bringing smiles to all that crossed her path. She was a long time member of the Women of the Moose and took pride in helping establish the Pennsville Lodge alongside her husband Phil. In her spare time, Jane loved watching old game shows and Hallmark movies. She and Phil also loved to play the slots at Atlantic City and Delaware Park. She was a warm, kind, loving woman who always saw the good in every person she met and never judged anyone. Her motto in life was "there is nothing in the world, be it broken bone or broken heart that Pepto-Bismol couldn't fix." Jane is survived by her two sons: Scott P. Cox (Terrie) of Pennsville, NJ and Troy D. Cox (Beth) of Alloway, NJ. Four grandchildren: Michael L. Morris Jr. (Krissy), Sami and Brittney Cox, and her caregiver & best friend Dana Willis (Mike). Six great grandchildren: Dallas Dilks, Colt Willis, and Brandon, Jaydon, Adriana, and Alexa Morris. Also survived by two brothers: Dale and Ivan Graf and one sister: Dorothy Chronister Predeceased by her husband Phillip S. Cox in 2009 and her son Terry D. Cox in 1984. Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 5, 2019 at the Laughrey Funeral Home in Pennsville, NJ where friends may call from 10-11. Service immediately following. Burial will be at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery in Pilesgrove, NJ. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Resources for Independent Living Center 193 N.
