Norwood Thomas, age 86 of Pennsville, NJ died suddenly Monday April 1, 2019 while on vacation in Florida. He was born on May 9, 1932 in Salem, NJ and was the son of the late Robert B. and Ella Gould Thomas. He was employed as an instrument mechanic at the former Anchor Hocking Glass Company in Salem where he retired with 46 years service (1950—1996). Norwood was a 1950 Graduate of Salem High School. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War, enlisted in February 19, 1951 and was discharged on February 18, 1955. Survived by his loving wife of 65 years Constance Myers Thomas, daughter, Constance Hansen, son, Steven Thomas, sister, Nancy Thomas Taylor Brown, and a grandson, Allen Hansen. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 10, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Burial will be at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, Pilesgrove, NJ. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
