Ronald Benson LaCount, age 74 of Pennsville died Sunday March 3, 2019 at the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. He was born in Wilmington, DE and is the son of Margaret J. Benson LaCount and the late Roger F. LaCount. Ron was a lifelong Pennsville resident. He was employed as an electrical engineer for DuPont Chambers Works where he retired following many years service. He was a longtime member of Park Bible Baptist Church of Pennsville. He was a 1962 graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School Survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Stephanee Hitchner LaCount, daughter, Ashley Serfass and her husband Brad and a son, Shawn LaCount. Ron was very active in the lives of his children and coached Little League baseball, softball and high school soccer Besides his father he was predeceased by a brother, Roger H. LaCount. He loved spending time with his family especially at the beach, reading the Bible as well as attending Pennsville High School sporting events. A memorial service will be held 6:30 PM on Thursday March 7, at Park Bible Baptist Church, 95 Sparks Ave. Pennsville, NJ where friends may call 5:00 to 6:30 PM prior to the service.
