Obituary of Jean N. Davis

Jean N Davis passed on August 20, 2018, at the age of 84. Jean was born in Port Deposit, MD., daughter of William and Harriet Nelson. She was a resident of Pennsville for most of her life. Jean graduated from Penns Grove HS, and then was employed at DuPont in Wilmington, DE. She worked at the Penn Beach Elementary School as a playground aid while raising her family. Jean was involved in various organizations concerning her children including Pennsville Little League, Babe Ruth, Midget football, PTA, and Cub Scouts. Jean enjoyed traveling, camping, and yard work. Most of all Jean loved laughing and spending time with family and friends. Jean is survived by sons Scott (Debbie), Stuart (Elizabeth), Spencer, Stacy (Bonnie), daughter Sue Ann Wilson (Al) and daughter-in-law, Darlene. Along with grandchildren, Barbara J Davis (Alex) ,Al Wilson (Theresa), Michael Wilson (Kim), Brant Davis, Julia Payne(Ray), Kevin Davis (Kim), Cara Buckley (Jason), Lora Cole (Andy), Nicolle Degges (Wm), Whitney Widger (Chris), Dru Davis, and Logan Davis(Austin) , and 18 great grandchildren .She was predeceased by her husband, Watson (2012), son Steven(2008), and brothers Clyde and Paul Nelson. Funeral services for Jean and her faithful dog Mai will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday August 23 where family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Laughreys Funeral Home, Pennsville. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown. In lieu of flowers, Jean requested donations be made to Pennsville Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, 94 Industrial Park Rd., Pennsville, NJ 08070
