Vera Pierson, age 80, of Pennsville, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, May 24th at her home. She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Russell in 2014. Vera was born in Erlangen, Germany, one of four children, to Konrad and Kunigunda Maier. After briefly working for Anchor Hocking, she became a school bus driver for Pennsville Twp. for many years. Vera's passion was travelling the world, especially returning home to Germany. When she was at home, she loved cooking fabulous meals, going to church and gardening. Vera is survived by her daughter Martina Pierson, her devoted sister Erika Hintz (Karle), nephews Gerd Hintz and Gary Northam.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 29th at Laughrey Funeral Home in Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to service. Burial will follow at Lawnside Cemetery. Woodstown. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
