Obituary of Charles L. Ramsey

It is with great sadness that the family of Charles L. Ramsey announces his passing early on the morning of Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at the age of 75, after a long battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 55 years, Yvonne (Richards) Ramsey, his son Joseph Charles, grandson Garrett Joseph, daughter-in-law Betty, brother Kevin and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Ella Ramsey, and his sisters, Joyce Morris and Elizabeth Ziegler. Born on April 21, 1942, he was a lifelong resident of Pennsville, NJ. He loved his hometown and shared many fond memories of Riverview Beach Park and the New Castle/Pennsville Ferry. He was an avid car enthusiast, a devoted animal lover, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and father-in-law. Charlie's love and support for his family was unconditional. He was a 1962 graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School with continuing Salem Community College education courses. Mr. Ramsey was employed by B.F. Goodrich, Pedricktown, NJ, and retired from E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company Chambers Works, Deepwater, NJ. He was pivotal in the startup of Enviro Tec Specialties, Inc. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Gabriel the Archangel Corpus Christi Church, 850 Georgetown Road, Carneys Point, NJ, 08069, on Saturday, November 11, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, NJ 08098.
