Margaret "Peggy" Elliott passed away September 23, 2017 at Golden Nursing Home in Mannington, NJ. Peggy was born in Paulsboro, NJ on April 6, 1928 to Esther and Oscar Holdstein. Peggy was a lifelong Pennsville resident and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was involved in many of the committees, President of United Methodist Women and organizer of the yearly Election Day Dinner for a number of years. Many people know Peggy from the Pennsville Swim Club (Splash) where she spent her summers sitting on the porch with her friends. Peggy is survived by her daughter Jo Ann Miller (Denny), sons John Elliott (Janice) and Howard Elliott, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband of fifty-five years, Walter, daughter Donna Lynn, sister Betty Waddington, and brothers Frank and Charles Holdstein. Services will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville. Viewing will be held at 10 am with service following at 11am. Graveside services will be private.
