Obituary of Pearl Trunkwalter

Pearl Elizabeth Trunkwalter, age 95 of Pennsville died Thursday August 24, 2017 at the Merion Garden in Carneys Point, NJ. She was born May 28, 1922 in Mannington, Salem County to Calvin and Francis Burden (Simpkins).

She was the wife of the late Emil R. Trunkwalter, mother of Burton C. Trout( Laura) of Marlton, N.J. and Mark E. Trunkwalter (Cindy) of Pennsville, N.J., grandmother to Bryan and Jacklyn Trout( Todd) (Charrington), Benjamin (Alysia) and Leah Trunkwalter ( Demarest) (Bob) and Great grandmother to Todd Randolph II and Katherine Marie Charrington, Jillian Barbieri and Delayni Trunkwalter.

Pearl was a graduate of the class of 1941 from Salem High school and went on to attend Goldy- Becom College of Wilmington De.

She worked for the DuPont Company as a typist and office manager and then for the Cherry Hill Board of Education as a secretary in Malberg Elementary School before retiring to St. Augustine Shores in Florida.

Pearl was an active member of St. Andrews Methodist church in Cherry Hill during her time in New Jersey. Upon retirement she was an active member of St. Augustine Shores United Methodist church in St. Augustine Shores, Florida.

Pearl was an avid piano and organ player throughout her life and taught piano for 30 years in her home in Cherry Hill.

Graveside services will be held 1:30 PM Saturday September 2, at the Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NU
