Obituary of Obera Ellen Bright

Obera E. (Raine) Bright, 91 of Pennsville, NJ went to be with her lord on July 29th, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Donna. She was born in Greenville, SC and was the daughter of the late Jesse R. Buchanan and Ollie Benfield Buchanan. She is survived by her sister Sarah Elizabeth Bagwell and her brother George Buchanan, both of Greenville, SC. Her children Donna J. Giles (Steve) of Perryville, MD and Richie G. (Elaine) Raine of Pennsville, NJ, Grandchildren Terry Schmitz of Elkton, MD, Deanne M. (Marlin) Sauder of Millville, NJ, Richie (RJ) and (Kristen) Raine, and Casey (Jake) Slusher of Pennsville, NJ. She is also survived by 12 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Joseph H. Raine, her second husband William Bright and brother John L. Buchanan. "Bucky" worked for many years as a waitress in Woodstown and Pennsville NJ. She loved her family, especially the accomplishments of her great grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and crafts and cutting the grass on her riding lawn mower.
