Geraldine S. Holmes, age 85 of Carneys Point and a former longtime Pennsville resident passed away Saturday July 28, 2012 at the Carneys Point Care Center. She was born in Hancock's Bridge to the late Charles and Freda Earnest Smith. Jerry was a lifelong area resident. She was a volunteer for the Pennsville Visiting Nurses Association as a secretary. Her hobbies included, cross word puzzles, fishing, camping, butterflies and Boscov's. Survived by her children, Cheryl D. Seagraves and her husband Ron of Pennsville, Paul Brett Harris and his wife Cathy of Golden, CO, Dr. Todd C. Harris of Austin, TX, Jamie L. Holmes and his wife Wendy of Pennsville, grandchildren, Michelle Pedrick and husband Tim of Alloway, Rhonda Neumuller and her husband Eric of Pennsville, Heather Seagraves Weber and her husband Tony of Pennsville, Zachary, Danielle and Chloe Harris of TX, and Emma and Allie Holmes of Pennsville, 8 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband James L. Holmes (1991), and 11 brothers & sisters. Funeral services will be held 11:00 on Wednesday August 1, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
