On May 8th, Edgar Griscom Stemple Sr. ("Bud"), of Pennsville, NJ, passed away at home at the age of 76, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Katheryn Stemple ("Kathy") his son, Edgar Griscom Stemple Jr. ("Little Bud") (Bonnie) his daughter, Amy Stemple (Rick) his stepdaughter, Michelle Brown ("Sis") (Dale) his grandchildren, Megan, Madison, and Kylee his step-grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, and Brandin and multiple great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Griscom, and stepfather, Albert Marshall, as well as his sisters, Betty Stemple and Nora Stewart (James).

After graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and serviced our country in the Vietnam War. He honored and lived by the values of the Marine Corps. and was very proud of serving his country. Prior to his retirement he spent 40 plus years as a machinist at various companies, his career made him a second-generation machinist, ultimately making Bud Jr a 3rd generation machinist.

Bud's favorite TV shows included Bluey, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Gordon Ramsay's shows. His favorite movies were Jaws, Halloween, and Friday the 13th. He enjoyed fishing and crabbing with his family at the Jersey Shore, and he was an avid gardener who grew the best tomatoes in town. He also loved cooking and teaching his recipes to his family—especially his crab dip, chili, lasagna, and vegetable soup. His humor was something you had to know to understand, it could be either good or bad, but it was always meant with the best of intentions.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday May 14th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 11:00 to 12:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, NJ. Friends and family are invited to gather afterward at the Woodstown Diner.
