On Friday, April 24, 2026, Kathleen (nee Mahoney) Starcevich (62), of Pennsville, NJ, passed away unexpectedly and joined the rest of the angels in heaven. Born in Wilmington, DE, Kathleen was the daughter of the late James E. Mahoney and Eileen (McMackin) Mahoney. Kathleen was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years—John W. Starcevich—who passed in 2024 and her sister-in-law, Denise M. Starcevich, who passed early in life.

Raised in Pennsville, NJ, Kathleen was a 1981 graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School and furthered her education at Salem Community College, where she achieved an Associate's Degree. Most recently, Kathleen was a partner in the family business, Mahoney Realty, which was a role she loved to share with her siblings. She was the glue that held the family business together.

Kathleen's greatest joys in life were family, especially in raising her children and caring for family members. As a caregiver, Kathleen brought peace to her loved ones, ensuring that no one ever felt alone. As a mother, Kathleen gave endlessly of herself, always putting her children first, offering comfort in difficult times and celebrating even the smallest victories with genuine joy.

In life, Kathleen was passionate about decorating for the holidays, celebrating birthdays, and remembering the legacies of those who passed before us… and she sure did love her ice cream.

Whether through a simple conversation, a warm smile, or an act of generosity, Kathleen's quiet strength carried those around her through life. Though she is no longer with us, Kathleen's love remains—guiding, comforting, and enduring always.

She experienced the joy of being a grandmother with the addition of John Beau Starcevich in May 2024.

Kathleen is survived by her three sons; John J. Starcevich (Amanda), Jeffrey W. Starcevich (Kimberley Johnson), and Joseph E. Starcevich; as well as her siblings; Theresa Dempsey (David), Carol Smith (Richard), and Thomas Mahoney (Tamara); and sister-in-law, Nancy (Starcevich) Gunning (Donald).

Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 6-8pm, at Laughrey's Funeral Home- 1 N. Broadway, Pennsville, NJ. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11am, at St. Gabriel the Archangel Corpus Christi Church- 369 Georgetown Rd, in Carneys Point, NJ, with burial at Lawnside Cemetery- 1017 Harding Hwy, in Woodstown, NJ.
