Jo-Ann M. Krough Obituary
Jo-Ann Krough, 74, of Pennsville, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, following a short battle with lung cancer and a long history of physical illnesses. Born on July 26, 1951, she was the daughter of the late William Ungerbuehler (2005) and Marie Ungerbuehler (née Weideman) (1978).
Jo-Ann was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Krough (1989), and her fiancé, Richard Hoffman (2025). She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Lavin (1991) and Marie “Ree” Ungerbuehler (2020).
Jo-Ann was a woman of deep faith, and being a devout Catholic was very important to her. Until her physical illnesses in recent years, she was an active member of her parish and served on the bereavement team, finding comfort in helping others through some of their hardest moments.
Throughout the years, Jo-Ann worked at Pennsville National Bank, Sears, and later at Al Levin Inc. as a manufacturer’s representative. Jo-Ann truly loved life and looked for simple joys that came with it. She loved dancing, traveling, listening to music, skiing, and surrounding herself with beautiful flowers. One of her favorite places to spend time was looking at “Mine and Pitudy’s” garden and reminiscing about her and her “Pitudy” planting it. She was known for her warm personality, quick smile, and telling it as she saw it, her quick wit, her hugs, and her usually good advice.
She loved her family and found great joy in loving her “Guzzie”, which was her grand dog Buddy. She treasured looking at her Skylight picture frame and talking about the memories the photos triggered.
Jo-Ann generously gave her time volunteering at the Masonic Home, where she formed meaningful relationships with those she lovingly called “her residents.” She cherished the time she spent with them.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Sarah Fithian (Daryl) and Kim Farrell (Jim); her cherished grandchildren, Reagan Longo (Chris), Skylar Fithian, James Farrell (Meagan), and Katherine Farrell (Andrew); and her great-granddaughter, Mia. She was also excitedly awaiting the arrival of her great-grandson, Baby Longo, due in July, whom she had so hoped to meet.
Jo-Ann is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many dearly loved friends whose presence made her life brighter. In her last days, she had wonderful caregivers, Beyonce and Tamika, who loved and gave her the best care her daughters could have asked for. Jo-Ann loved them just as much and considered them family. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choosing in her memory. Jo-Ann will be remembered for her strong faith, her generous heart, and the love she shared so freely with her family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday March 14 where friends may call from 10:00-11:00AM prior to the service.
