Russell E. Sherman, age 89 of Pennsville, NJ died Saturday December 20, 2025, at the Christiana Care-Accent Care, Newark, DE. He was born in Salem, NJ and was the son of the late Russel H. Sherman and Ester May Corson Sherman. Russell was lifelong Pennsville resident.

He was employed on the assembly line at the Chrysler Assembly Plant, Newark, DE where he retired following many years of service.

Survived by his daughter in law, Holly Wood Sherman, grandchildren, Brianna Sherman, Brandon Sherman, and Hayden Sherman, great grandson, Edward Sherman, several nieces and nephews, sisters in law Nancy Sherman and Jane Swider Wolff.

Predeceased by his wife, Irene B. Swider Sherman (2017), son, Edward Sherman (2008), brother, Don Sherman and sister, Jeanette Trammell.

Funeral Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday January 9th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial of cremains will follow at the St. Josephs Cemetery, Swedesboro, NJ.
