William Anthony (Bill)Walsh,77, of Pennsville, NJ passed away at Christiana Hospital, DE on December 3, 2025.
Bill was born on April 15th 1948 to Edward and Florence Walsh, in Woodbury NJ.
Bill grew up in Atlantic City and had many stories about the beach and boardwalk, where he had several jobs as a teenager and young man.
For the last 41 years he lived in Pennsville, NJ. Bill was known by many because he spent a lot of years working in the plumbing and heating business. He worked for various companies as well as having his own Plumbing and Heating Businesses at different times.
Bill was funny, witty and kind. He was a "straight shooter", but had the biggest heart and desire to help anyone who needed something that he was able to take care of.
Bill fell in love with Ginny and they were married in 1978. Two years later on the day after their anniversary, his daughter Bonnie was born. In 1985, Katie was born. He took his role of husband and father very seriously. He did everything to take care of his wife and children, built anything they needed/wanted, fixed what seemed like everything, and always kept them laughing. Along with his daughters and Grandchildren, he had a very close relationship with his nephews Billy and Eddie Walsh, they grew up alongside of his daughters and they spent their childhood crabbing, fishing, and everything else Uncle Bill enjoyed doing.
Bill had so many interests and hobbies, he LOVED fishing, hunting, crabbing, clamming, and then gathering around the table for seafood, talking, and laughing with friends and family; He loved to be "out tinkering in the garage" and building things and fixing things; He picked up random hobbies and would focus on one specific thing before moving on and never doing it again: whittling, Ham Radio, building picnic tables, baking and decorating cakes, lock picking, playing Guitar (but only Twinkle Twinkle Little Star), and building projects. His most memorable project was the fishing boat he built with his Grandson Billy, he was very proud of his boat and named it "Virginia Lynn" for his beautiful wife. There's many more things on the list of hobbies and interests, but what he loved most was spending time with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren.
Bill was the type of person who woke up every day HAPPY and SINGING. He always tried to look at the brighter side of things and always had a "Dad Joke" ready and waiting. He smiled, talked to, and joke with anyone and everyone around him, whether he knew them or not.
He was an extremely devoted "Gramps" and spent time fishing, building things, and taking his Grandchildren on little fun adventures along with his wife and their Grandmother, Ginny.
Bill was a very active member of the Deepwater United Methodist for over 20 years and when the church closed he became a member of the Haines Neck United Methodist Church.
Bill is survived by his wife, Virginia "Ginny", his daughters, Bonnie Glessner (Joe) and Kathryn "Katie" Walsh, his grandson William Glessner and granddaughter Carly Glessner all of Pennsville, his brother Michael Walsh (Nancy) from Vineland, sister Mary Walsh from NC, many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM on Friday December 12th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ. Burial will be private.
