John Thomas Weimer, age 73, of Pennsville, NJ, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025.

Born in York, PA, on November 30, 1951, John was the son of the late Charles George Weimer Jr. and Leah Elizabeth (Miller) Weimer. He was a 1969 graduate of William Penn Senior High School and went on to build a respected career as a sheet metal worker with Local Union 19 in Philadelphia. Throughout his career, John became a Certified Welding Instructor and Inspector, and he took great pride in teaching apprentices at the Union Hall until his retirement.

John is survived by his daughter, Shellie Rene Rosa; his grandson, Mitchell Damon Rosa; and his granddaughter, Mackenzie Rene Rosa, all of Leesburg, GA. He is also survived by his sister, Virginia Ellen Brenner, and brother-in-law, Ralph Brenner, along with many extended family members and lifelong friends.

In his younger years, John had a passion for drag racing and loved taking his Oldsmobile 442 down the strip at the York US 30 Dragway. He also cherished time spent near the water, making countless memories with his cousins on St. George's Island in Maryland, crabbing and boating, as well as summers in lower Delaware. He was an avid pool player and loved gathering with friends—many of whom became family—sharing stories, laughter, and companionship.

John will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, his craftsmanship, and his unmistakable wink. He also leaves behind the memory of his loyal dog Chopper, who walked beside him for so many years and about whom he shared countless stories.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
