William Joseph Boden, Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on November 3, 2025, at the age of 79. Born November 29, 1945, in Woodbury, NJ, he was the son of the late William Joseph and Lela Margaret (née Funk) Boden.

Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Louise Crane, his daughter-in-law, Judith Annmarie Boden (née Flanigan), and brother-in-law, Larry Dowe Hall. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by his beautiful wife of 59 years, Carol Ann Boden (née Mullin).

Bill was a proud father to his two children, William Joseph Boden, III, and Lisa Michelle Boden (Michael Malusis). He was also a grandfather to four wonderful grandchildren: Brooke Ann Boden, Haley Rose Boden, Mitchell Adam Malusis, and Nathan Joseph Malusis. He is also survived by his loving sister, Margaret Joanne Hall, and brother-in-law, James Ernest Crane, Jr.

Bill graduated from Woodstown High School and Memphis State University. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years. He was a good carpenter and mechanic and often helped family and friends build or fix things.

Bill volunteered as a coach for Pennsville Midget Football for 20 years. He had a love for crabbing and was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan. His best times were hanging out with friends and family and listening to country music. His golden retriever, Rosie, already misses their daily trips to Wawa.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Laughrey Funeral Home in Pennsville, where friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Pennsville Animal Shelter (94 Industrial Park Rd, Pennsville, NJ 08070) or Pennsville Midget Football (PO Box 624, Pennsville, NJ 08070).
