Edna B. Norris (nee Banger) of Mannington, NJ formerly of Pennsville, NJ passed away on Oct. 15, 2025. Born in Salem. NJ on July 16, 1943, she was the daughter of the late J. Wesley and Lena Banger of Pennsville. She was a lifelong Pennsville resident until moving to Mannington in 2001.

She graduated from Pennsville High School in 1961 in the third graduating class.

She was employed by Pennsville Public School District (Pennsville Junior High/ Middle School). She retired in 2012 with 46 years of service. Everyone knew her 1970 red VW beetle parked in the front of the school. When parents would bring their children to school the kid would play "PUNCH BUGGY RED".

Edna was a member of the South Jersey Region Antique Automobile Club for 25 years and served as treasurer for 20 years.

Many years ago, she was a member of the Pennsville Fire and Rescue Co. #1 ladies' auxiliary.

She is survived by nieces Valerie Johnson (husband Rob Pandina), Karen Rossett, Brenda Foster(Jerry), Debbie Zipfel ( Tim ), Doris Beatty (Chuck), Diane Plymale (Bill), and Denise Zanes. Also, nephews John W. Banger III (Gayle), James Banger (Mary), Jerry Banger, Jason Banger, Gary Johnson (Linda), and Scott Norris. Also, sister-in -law Patricia Banger and many grand nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predecease by her husband of 36 years Gilford (Deadeye) Norris, her sisters and their husbands, Jean Banger Johnson and Robert Johnson, and Ruth Banger Bailey and Dwayne Bailey as well as nephew Ronald Bailey. Also, brothers John W. (Jack) Banger Jr and Viola Banger, and brother George Banger.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday October 22nd at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Interment will be in Eastview Cemetery in Salem, NJ.
