Betty L Jagers, age 84 of Mullica Hill, NJ and a former resident of Pennsville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2025.She was born on August 10, 1941 to the late James and Dulcie A. Long Scott,.


She is survived by her daughter, Mary Hoffman (Richard), brother Oliver Thomas Scott, grandsons Richard-RJ and Raymond-Ray, nephew Alexander Michael Scott (Margarett), sister-in -law Bernice Jagers Willadsen, brother in-law Lee Jagers (Sonia), multiple nieces and nephews.


Predeceased by her husband, Richard L. Jagers on July 24, 2018


Betty graduated from Penns Grove Regional High School. She then went on to Glassboro Normal school to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. That dream was cut short because she needed to be home to help out her mom.


Betty enjoyed watching many sports. She was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. She also loved to watch golf. She loved watching the Ryder Cup. Other activities she enjoyed doing were going to the casinos. Also, she enjoyed going to craft shows. The most remembered activity that she would do is having yard sales. She absolutely loved to sell things!


Betty will be remembered as being a kind and caring woman. She always wanted to help someone or care for them. Her love for her husband of nearly 49 years and her daughter, Mary, was unending.


As a lighthouse sheds light in the darkness, Betty's love for Christ shined for all to see, casting out darkness with love and kindness.


Friends and family are invited for a graveside service at 10:00 am on Monday October 6th at the Sharptown Church Cemetery, 24 Church Street, Sharptown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.in Betty's memory.
