Harry G. Kerswill Obituary

Harry G. Kerswill, 80 of Pennsville, NJ passed away on September 22, 2025 at his home. Harry was born in Salem, NJ on September 3, 1945 to the late Richard W. and Dorothy Talley Kerswill. He attended Pennsville High School and graduated from Penns Grove Regional High School. Harry was employed at the DuPont Chambers works as a machinist for 42 years. He was a member of the Pennsville VFW and a member of the 14th Brooklyn Regiment, member of the Salem County Sportsman's Club and delivered Meals on Wheels.

Harry participated in many Civil War Reenactments over the years. The Brooklyn regiment was featured in the movies Gettysburg and Glory. He was a boy Scout Master and coached Babe Ruth teams in Penns Grove and Pennsville. Harry enjoyed camping and traveling with family and friends.

Harry is survived his wife, Charlene Munyon Kerswill, who was the love of his life, Wade Newsome and his wife Denise and Lance Newsome and his wife Michele who he considered his sons and a daughter, Brandy Russo and her husband Anthony and her four children, grandchildren, Paris Dominic and her husband Joseph, Colton Newsome, Jensen Shaughnessy and her husband John and Brian Atkinson, great grandchildren, Georgie Dominic and Nolan Atkinson, brother in law, Charles Munyon and his wife Judy and their sons, Chuck and David Munyon, sisters, Ethel Anderson and Marty Lynn Brown, brothers, Edward Kerswill and Warren Kerswill, he favorite nephew, Derrick Kerswill.

Predeceased by daughter in law, Georgette Newsome.

Come to a celebration of life for Harry on Sunday September 28th at 2:00 PM at the Pennsville VFW Post 1952, 171 South Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070.
