Lonetta Bennett Obituary

Lonetta "Lonnie" Butler (Maiden) Bennett, age 86, of Pennsville, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 17, surrounded by her family. Born on September 22, 1938, in Salem, NJ, Lonnie was the rock of her family. She dedicated her lifetime to guiding and nurturing each generation with profound love. Full of wisdom, and with quiet strength, a generous heart, and a joyful spirit, she leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

After retiring from Blue Cross Blue Shield, Lonnie devoted her days to what mattered most—her family. She gave of herself freely, creating a home where everyone felt welcome, safe, and deeply loved. Lonnie also loved to clean and took great pride in being the family's "Laundry Queen." She looked forward to her bi-weekly lunch dates with her close friends and the Penton crew. To know Lonnie was to know kindness and loyalty; she was a friend for life, and being loved by her was a gift that left a lasting impression.

Lonnie is survived by her three children: Mike Buoncuore (wife Kelly), Rick Buoncuore, and Nanci Headman (significant other Tracy Stites); her grandchildren, Mike DeAngelo, RJ Buoncuore (wife Brittany), Dina Buoncuore, Jami Headman, Jena Buoncuore, Abby Buoncuore, Luke Headman, Jake Buoncuore, and Lily Cole; and her great-grandchildren, Cole Buoncuore, Payten Piel, Leia Buoncuore, and Simone Headman. She is also survived by her siblings Nancy Widger, Mark Carter, and Terri Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Bennett; her parents, Milton Butler and Gertrude Carter; and her brothers, Denny Butler, Dale Butler, and Steve Carter.

Lonnie will be remembered not only as a devoted mother, proud Mommom, and loving sister, but also as the heart of her family and a true friend to all who knew her. Her love will live on as her family's greatest blessing, and her memory will forever be cherished.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22, at Alloway Baptist Church Cemetery at 10 a.m.
