William Lloyd Hurley

November 12, 1948 – May 26, 2025

William Lloyd Hurley, 76, passed away on May 26, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

William was born and raised in Pennsville, NJ and graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School. William proudly served his country as an aircraft maintenance crewman in Vietnam, specializing in Huey helicopters. Following his military service, he dedicated many years as a Quality Assurance Technician at DuPont Chambers Works.

William was a devoted husband to Juanita and a loving father to his daughters, Beth and Breanne. He is also survived by his sister Sandy Mifflin, niece Brittany Samuels and her husband Mark, and his great nieces and nephews Brandon, Megan, Brenna, Brooke, and Curtis. William was also cherished by his furry companion Gracee.

He was preceded in death by his mother Esther Collins Hurley, father Lloyd Fulton Hurley, father-in-law Anthony L. Priest, mother-in-laws Rose Priest & Velia Priest, and brother-in-law William Truxton Mifflin. His pets KC, Cody, Brian, Buster, and Cookie will also be fondly remembered.

An avid Phillies fan, William loved spending summers at the shore, working in his yard, gardening, volunteering at the Pennsville Historical Society and spending his Wednesday nights with his buddies at the VFW. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Laughery Funeral Home, 1 North Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070, followed by a brief service. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Pennsville Township Historical Society, 86 Church Landing Road Pennsville, NJ 08070 or Pennsville VFW Post 1952, 171 South Broadway Pennsville, NJ 08070 to honor William's memory and lifelong commitment to his community.
