Bill, Thank You. Looking back now almost 20yrs since I first started at CW, your kind demeanor stands out most of all.
One of our earliest interactions, I recall detecting some annoyance when I would come into your office and start with “Mr. Hurley……”. So, me being the smartass that I am kept it up. Eventually you let me know, with a slight tinge of sternness... "Look, you can call me Bill”.
We would go on working many shutdowns together. You would share knowledge of the job, history of the site and folks who’ve come and gone. I couldn’t have asked for a better colleague and mentor.

To Bills family and Friends: Bill graduated in our great class of 1966. We made wonderful and lifelong friends in our class. Life took Bill and I in different directions but we reconnected. Bill and I shared Flyers season tickets for a few seasons (Cup years) and traveled to away games in Montreal and Atlanta. We attended Phillies games. I was an occasional attendee at the Wednesday VFW gatherings but Bill was always there. We also would meet at the shore and visit his daughter at the Oar House. I admired and respected his commitment to the Historical Society. Great man. RIP my friend. (Enjoy the photos).

Bill was such a kind and gentle soul, always thoughtful & generous. He introduced green beans to my vegetable garden. I'll miss the lunch break meet ups for icecream & grilled hotdogs at Cream Valley. He was truly a great man.
