Obituary of David Thomas Blythe
Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
David Blythe, 43, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 17th, 2025. David was born on June 26th, 1981 in Folcroft, Pennsylvania to Raymond and Kathleen (Parkinson) Blythe. He was the baby of the family with an "Irish" twin sister, Michele, and a big brother, Ray. Growing up there were a lot of wrestling matches, building forts, giggling in bedrooms at bedtime, playing action figures, matchbox cars and singing and dancing in the living room. David loved to spend time with his family and to talk about childhood memories with laughter. He loved to reminisce about riding four wheelers with his brother and dad, spending summers down at a Jersey Shore Campground and his fun times with friends. David enjoyed time as an adult with his family by going to the movies, going on family vacations in Lake George and Disney, family holiday parties, riding motorcycles with his dad and playing with his niece and nephew either in a bouncy house or at Build a Bear workshop, David's curiosity about the world and others had no bounds. He loved to ask questions about everything and anything. David had an exceptional ability to remember all kinds of facts and knowledge. He would light up to share news or information that he had learned to anyone who was open to listening. David was a big and gentle soul. He loved many animals like the stray cat he brought home, Pepper and feeding the deer and birds in his backyard. He would often be found giving food, clothing or necessities to those in need even when he had very little to give. Lastly, David was a kind, smart, inquisitive, funny and compassionate man. He loved his family. And he was loved by them. The beautiful boy with the light blonde hair and green eyes will be missed by all those that truly knew, accepted and loved him. David is survived by his devoted and supportive father, Raymond Blythe Sr., his brother, Raymond Blythe Jr. (Michelle) and his sister, Michele (Blythe) Fecht (Andrew). He is survived by his nephews, John Modesti, Drew Fecht and a niece, Lyla Fecht. He is also survived by his loving aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
David was predeceased by his mother, Kathleen (Parkinson) Blythe, his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Nancy (Marley) Parkinson and paternal grandparents Raymond and Emily (McMelleon) Blythe.
There will be a small service for close family and friends at the burial site on Friday, March 21st, 2025 at 12pm. This will be held at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery 1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064. Section 27, Row 17, Lot 41.
