Doyne Wayne Friebel, Sr was called home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday March 16 2025 surrounded by his family.
Doyne was born on February 9, 1940 and lived a life full of love and dedication to his family and friends. He leaves behind, the love of his life of over 60 years Phyllis (nee Jorgensen), his brother, Walt Friebel, his 3 children Cindy Wilbraham (Ron), Doyne (Regina), Jennifer Russykevizc (Lee) and his cherished grandchildren Andrew (Justin) and Luke Wilbraham, Tyler and Mason Russykevizc, Laynee, Doyne, Kate and Julia Friebel and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Erma Friebel, father Walter Friebel, brother Robert and sister Patricia DeSessa. His family was his pride and joy, and he always made sure to put them first in everything he did. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Doyne was known for his hard work and commitment to his 40+ year career with DuPont Chambers Works after serving his country proudly in the United States Air Force.
Doyne had a passion for supporting all extra curricular activities for both his kids and grandkids and he spent much of his free time at his little piece of paradise in Bayberry Cove at the Jersey Shore. His enthusiasm and zest for life were infectious, and he inspired others to follow their passions. Doyne's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be remembered for his warmth, his smile, and his ornery sense of humor. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible life he lived and the countless lives he touched.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 11 am at Lawnside Cemetery in Woodstown NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to "Transplant Foundation" and mail to: Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 N. 3rd. St., Philadelphia, PA 19123 in Doyne's honor.
Rest in peace, Doyne Wayne Friebel, Sr. You will be forever missed and never forgotten.
