Tammy Lynne Ballentine, age 53, a long-time resident of Deepwater, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on December 9, 2024.
Tammy was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Known for her adventurous spirit, she was a familiar face in her younger years, whether behind the wheel of a big dump truck or cruising in her Mustang with the flames painted on the side. She cherished spending time with her family, often taking walks along the river, collecting rocks to paint with her grandchildren, and sharing memories while cooking from her cherished old recipe cards. Tammy always knew how to bring joy and laughter to any occasion, and her kindness touched everyone she met.
She is survived by her loving husband, Walter Ballentine; her children, Megan Ballentine (James Edelman), Walter Ballentine II, and Walter Ballentine III (Sky Viereck); her grandchildren, Lily Niblock, James Edelman III, and Stella Edelman; her father, Timothy McAllister; and her sister, April McAllister.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis McAllister, and her daughter, Jennifer Ballentine, both of whom she missed dearly and is now reunited with in peace.
A kind soul with a heart full of love, Tammy will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Monday December 16th at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown, NJ.
