LaVerne D. Kessler, Maurer, Martin, Brandriff, passed away on October 12, 2018 at the age of 89, in Fort Myers, Florida. She was born in Milwaukee WI in 1929 to George C. Kessler and Myrtle M. Anderson. She had 3 siblings George Kessler, Paul Kessler, and Lois Kessler, Tinklepaugh, surviving sister.
LaVerne was a long time resident of Salem NJ, and for the past 25 years had lived in Cape Coral, Florida. She had 2 sons, David G. Martin and George R. Martin, who currently live in Fort Myers, Florida, with their spouses JayAnn and Brenda.
She was blessed with 4 Grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle Shuford & Robert, Jennifer Einstein & Justin, Richard W. Martin & Ana, David G. Martin and 2 Great grandchildren Bryce and Brooke Einstein.
She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren particularly celebrating birthdays, and holidays. Christmas was always such a fun time at her house with all the decorations and family dinners. We all are grateful to have shared those wonderful moments and will remember them always.
She worked for Anchor Hocking Glass Corp for a number of years and she also spent many years building and renovating houses with her husband of 35 years, Max R. Martin. She loved home construction and enjoyed planning and designing homes. She also wrote a novel and was very proud to have it published.
She married Vernon Brandriff in 1992, after the passing of Max Martin, and they relocated to Cape Coral Florida where they enjoyed many wonderful years together before Vernon's passing in 2001.
Funeral Services will be held on November 5, between 10 - 11am at Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ.
Interment will be in the family plot at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro, NJ
