Obituary of Arthur M. Mason, III

Arthur "Mitch" Mason, III passed away suddenly at home on Friday April 20, 2018 at the age of 42. He is survived by his 3 children Mikayla Braelynn Mason age 18, Nathaniel Thomas Mason, age 9, and Kiera Annette Mason, age, 7 along with his fiancée Rachel Litzinger who he spent the last 12 years with. He is also survived by both his parents, Arthur "Mitch" Mason, Jr. and Patti Reeves Mason and a sister Michele Pierce Lausch and her husband Lee Lausch, his nephew Levi Lee Lausch along with aunts, uncles and cousins. Mitch grew up in Pennsville and graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School in 1994 where he enjoyed playing football, baseball and basketball. He would spend his summers with his family in Cape May at Lake Laurie camp ground where he made many friends and great memories. After graduation Mitch joined Local 351 IBEW Electrical Union and eventually became a journeyman and was a member for 20 years. Mitch shared his love of football with his son as they would watch the Eagles games on TV. He also enjoyed listening to music and playing music. He also shared his love of music with all three children by taking them to their first concert. He was a bass player in numerous bands where he loved to play live shows. He also enjoyed reading especially about astrology and learning about the universe. Mitch also loved to visit the family cabin in New York with his children and fiancée where he would enjoy fishing, hiking, riding the 4 wheeler and gazing up at the night sky. Mitch was a great man who loved his family and friends; his heart was as big as his smile. He will be greatly missed by many. Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM on Thursday April 26, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 6:00 to 7:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be private.
