Monday, December 4, 2017Mrs. Dyer, who always implored me to call her Joan but I could not, was the only women I've known who could love you, give it to you straight, then love you again all in one motion. She broke trivial barriers like politics, northern accents and such which made Valley Park, Pennsville and beyond a kind place and at this same time, wouldn't put up with any ****. Her service was unflappable, loyalty pure and a great example to just not her family, but community. She would buy overpriced crabs we caught because she appreciated our teenage efforts catching them and perhaps secretly wanted us to have the beer we'd buy with the profits, which would drive my mom nuts......and she loved it. Her "eye-roll" was the best on any stage, but kindness and compassion always was the end of the day. Godspeed family and friends......Joan gave us all something worth living for and expressing daily.
