Obituary of Grace Marie Sumey

Grace Marie Sumey, age 72 of Pennsville passed away peacefully on Saturday June 10, 2017 at the Cooper University Medical Center, Camden. Grace was born on April 11, 1945 in Salem. Grace is survived by her three children, daughter, Lori a Mason (Jay) of Carney's Point, sons, John R. Sumey (Michelle) of Deepwater and William M. Sumey of Pennsville, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and a brother, Raymond Jones of Camp Springs, MD. Grace was predeceased by her parents, Harry S. Jones and Grace J. Jones, four brothers, Harry S. Jones, Jr., Frank Jones, Robert Jones and John P. Jones and a son, Daniel R. Sumey. Grace was a kind, loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a mother to her children but also a second mother to many. She enjoyed going out to eat, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing cards with the girls, and all of the people that she took care of doing home health care for over thirty years. Grace will be sadly missed and loved by all of her family and friends. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM on Friday June 30, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends and family may call from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service followed by a celebration of Grace's life from 2:30 to 6:00 PM at the Pennsville VFW. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
